On Sunday, Lazio registered their second draw in a row as they shared the spoils with Atalanta. But while their tie with Torino was a six-goal thriller, the Bergamo contest ended goalless.

With La Dea dominating possession, the Biancocelesti attackers saw very little of the ball. Nevertheless,  Maurizio Sarri’s defenders had to produce heroics to prevent another defeat. So here are our ratings for every Lazio player who took part in the action.

Lazio (4-3-3)

Ivan Provedel – 8

The Italian goalkeeper had to come up with a host of saves to earn his clean sheet. His most eye-catching effort was the one that denied Ademola Lookman’s low drive.

Adam Marusic – 6

The Montenegrin almost never trotted forward, but he did well in his duel against Kamaldeen Sulemana.

Mario Gila – 8.5

An absolute masterclass from the Spaniard who reigned supreme in his own areas. Stopped Sulemana and Lookman in their tracks on several occasions and made a host of clearances. He also embraced the villain’s role by antagonizing the home crowd with his provocative gestures.

Alessio Romagnoli – 7

A solid display at the back from the former Milan captain, who was able to handle Nikola Krstovic in their physical duel.

Nuno Tavares – 5.5

The Portuguese left-back tried to push his team forward with his trademark forays, but the end result was often disappointing.

Matteo Guendouzi – 6

A hardworking display from the returning midfielder, but he didn’t provide much quality on the ball.

Danilo Cataldi – 6.5

The Italian was firm and confident on the ball, while experetly shielding the backline.

Toma Basic – 6.5

The Croatian is consolidating his starting spot with every fresh outing, as he covered every ounce of the pitch, and he chased down every ball.

Matteo Cancellieri – N/A

Lazio have been handed a new injury concern as their most in-form player had to leave the pitch with an injury in the middle of the first half.

Boulaye Dia – 5.5

The Senegalese hardly got a sniff of the ball, but it surely wasn’t his fault that Lazio opted for a defensive approach.

Mattia Zaccagni – 6

The captain’s return to the lineup was a pleasant surprise. Ran his socks off for as long as he lasted on the pitch, but lacked his usual sharp touch.

Substitutes

Gustav Isaksen – 5.5

The Dane tried to launch attacks on his own at times, but found little joy against the Atalanta defenders.

Pedro – 6

The veteran added a spark in the final third, but he didn’t have too many opportunities to cause havoc in the opposition’s areas.

Matias Vecino – 6

The Uruguayan looked healthy on his long-anticipated return from injury, as he offered his contribution in both phases of the game.

Manuel Lazzari – N/A

Oliver Provstgaard – N/A
