Slovan Bratislava 2-3 Milan: Player ratings

Maignan 5 – Helpless one-on-one for the Slovan equaliser, although he could have perhaps closed the gap a bit quicker. Got a fingertip to Marcelli’s second, but it was very well hit. No other major saves for the Frenchman over the 90.

Calabria – 6 A decent return to the starting line-up for the Milan captain all things considered, 96% pass completion rate and won 100% of his attempted tackles. (Emerson Royal 5)

Tomori 5.5 – Could have been a bit quicker to close down Marcelli for Slovan’s second late on.

Pavlovic 6.5 – His first-half goal line clearance prevented a definite Slovan goal. Things might not have gone so well in the end had that gone in.

Theo Hernandez 5.5 – By his best standards, it was a pretty unremarkable display from the Milan left-back. Not enjoying his best form at the minute.

Fofana 6.5 – Proving again why he’s undroppable for Milan, even if there aren’t many other options to replace him at the moment. An assist on his record tonight as well. (Musah 5)

Reijnders 6 – Not as involved in the attacking play as he was when he was playing in the trequartista role, but solid enough in the middle of the park again.

Chukwueze 5.5 – Saw a decent amount of the ball in the first half, but was not able to do anything particularly productive with it.

Pulisic 7 – Continued his strong 2024 form with the opening goal after 21 minutes, and had threatened before then as well. Definite contender for the Rossoneri player of the season, and it’s only November. (Loftus-Cheek 5)

Okafor 5 – Fonseca made the right call in changing things at half-time: Milan needed an injection of energy, and Leao was able to provide that just over 20 minutes after his introduction. (Leao 6.5)

Abraham 7 – Did very well to send Pulisic through for the Milan opener, and was in the right place at the right time to capitalise on a Slovan disaster-pass to get his first Champions League goal of the season. (Camarda n/a)
