Plymouth striker Lorent Tolaj is attracting interest from numerous Championship clubs ahead of a potential summer move
Plymouth Argyle are hoping to secure an immediate return to the Championship after a difficult start to life under Tom Cleverley, and will be set to face a battle to keep some of their star assets this summer.
A turbulent summer at Plymouth, which saw former Bosnian boss Miron Muslic depart for Schalke without warning, saw the Pilgrims forced to act quickly to find a replacement.
Tom Cleverley, fresh off being dismissed by Watford, made the move to Devon to take the reins at Home Park, and after a difficult start to life with the club, has propelled them towards the play-off places with just a handful of games remaining.
With four games to go, Plymouth sit four points outside the top six, and with both Stevenage and Stockport County sitting above them with games in hand, their chances of breaking into the top six look increasingly bleak, especially after failing to take all three points in their home clash against rivals Exeter City.
Regardless of what division they find themselves in next season, Plymouth are set to face a battle to keep hold of some of their prized assets, with one player in particular drawing more interest than most.

Swiss forward Lorent Tolaj is set to be a man in demand this summer, with Pete O'Rourke reporting via X that numerous clubs in the Championship and abroad are tracking his situation with the Pilgrims.
Tolaj, 24, has been electric since joining Plymouth in the summer, with Cleverley's side matching the £1.2 million release clause in his contract to bring him from Port Vale, signing on a deal until the summer of 2029.
With 16 goals and five assists in 29 league games in what is his first season in the third tier, it's hardly surprising to see the Swiss striker attract interest ahead of a summer switch.
The former Brighton forward has been on a steady upward trajectory over the past few years, having shone for Aldershot Town in the National League before taking League Two by storm with Port Vale and now once again having a standout campaign in League One with Plymouth.
Fortunately for the Pilgrims, it was revealed by Cleverley at a ‘Meet the Manager’ event that Tolaj does not have a release clause in his contract, putting Plymouth firmly in the driving seat when it comes to demanding a fee.
Championship clubs will have to compete with teams across the continent for his signature this summer, as Plymouth will be preparing themselves for the inevitable interest in their star forward.
Whether Plymouth returns to the Championship next year remains up in the air, but either way, bids will be sure to arrive for Tolaj in the coming months, and it is something that the club must be prepared for.

There will be few people more reluctant than head coach Cleverley to see Tolaj leave Plymouth this summer.
The Swiss forward, alongside Aribim Pepple up front, has been sensational, and is a large reason as to why the club finds itself still within a chance of breaking into the play-offs despite their poor start.
Should the 24-year-old indeed depart Home Park this summer, it certainly won't be on the cheap, as Plymouth will be doing everything in their power to maximise their profit from the striker.
