Nathanael Ogbeta has already joined the Greens after his contract at Swansea City came to an end, while plenty more stars have been linked with a move to Devon over the course of the summer.

The former Shrewsbury Town man has come in to replace Mickel Miller, whose exit from the club was officially confirmed earlier this week, with the fullback joining League One Huddersfield Town following upon the expiration of his contract.

Here we take a look at three potential new recruits for Argyle and the latest surrounding any potential move to Home Park, as work continues behind the scenes to piece together the puzzle during the off-season.

3 Muhamed Tijani set for Plymouth Argyle loan move from Slavia Prague

Ojora Babatunde broke the news earlier this week that Slavia Prague striker Muhamed Tijani is set for a season-long loan move to the Pilgrims.

The 23-year-old was in Devon completing a medical ahead of the switch from the Czech club, whom he scored twice in 25 league matches for in the previous campaign.

The frontman has played for a number of Czech sides over the course of his career, with time spent at Karvina before three years with Banik Ostrava, which earned him the move to the capital-side.

After their struggles in front of goal at the end of the previous campaign, the Argyle chiefs have wasted no time in pinpointing their targets to help with their woes in front of goal.

The Greens failed to find the net more than once in any of their final 12 league games last season, with Tijani’s physical presence up top likely to give Rooney a different option in the final third.

2 Pilgrims face competition from Luton Town in pursuit of Crystal Palace’s David Ozoh

It was reported last week that Argyle were lining up a loan move for Crystal Palace’s academy graduate David Ozoh.

The talented midfielder has caught the eye after some impressive cameo appearances for the Eagles in the previous campaign, but it now appears that Luton Town also have an interest in the 19-year-old.

The Hatters are said to be keen on a permanent deal for the youngster, which could scupper any thoughts the Pilgrims had of borrowing the talented asset for a year, in the hope of boosting their midfield quality.

Ozoh featured nine times for Palace in the most-recent Premier League campaign, and caught the eye with a number of composed performances in the centre of the park.

After the departures of loan stars Finn Azaz and Luke Cundle during the January transfer window in the last campaign, Argyle were lacking in quality up top, and a player of Ozoh's ability would provide the spark for the Greens to get firing in the final third once again.

Marc Leonard has been a player that has tempted many an EFL club this summer, with the Greens having a long-term interest in the Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder.

League One sides Birmingham City, Huddersfield Town and Wrexham are all said to have an interest in the former Northampton Town loanee, as well as Championship newsboys Oxford United.

The latest update from The Mirror (live transfer blog, 01.07.24, 18:46), states that the Blues are set to win the race for the 22-year-old, with the move said to be subject to a £450,000 transfer fee.

The talented midfielder has shone during his successive season-long loan spells at Sixfields, and Argyle will be ruing missing out on a player likely to rise the ranks during his career, following his bright start to professional life.
