Tomorrow evening sees us head to Paisley to take on St Mirren on Scottish Premiership duties as we aim to take another step closer in our pursuit of a fourth successive title and our 120th trophy.

It will undoubtedly be a hard task as the buddies are a well organised side under the leadership of Stephen Robinson, and they will be looking to bounce back on their own turf after losing out to Hearts at Tyncastle on Wednesday night. They of course picked up a great result at Ibrox last week that resulted in the dismissal of Philippe Clement, so they have it in their locker to upset the odds against their Glasgow neighbours.

No encouragement should be given

Celtic finished the match against Aberdeen 16 points clear but theRangers have won 4-2 at Kilmarnock and play before us this weekend.

By the time Celtic kick off in Paisley our lead could be cut to ten points as theRangers host Motherwell in the afternoon kick off, so it’s important we don’t give Barry Ferguson’s all stars any signs of encouragement especially with the Glasgow Derby our next league fixture.

The business end of the season

This is now as they say, the business end of the season, and it’s all about the result. Three points will put us a step closer to four in a row, and hand us a great boost going into two massive games starting next Sunday when we face Hibs in the eagerly awaited Scottish cup quarter final tie, and then the all important Glasgow Derby the following week when there looks like being 2500 supporters of theRangers netted in to Paradise.

Before that though it’s all about collecting the three points at Paisley on Saturday in the match that’s live on Sky Sports.
