As the big match between Inter and Roma approaches, we ask our readers: Who do you prefer between the two teams’ main strikers, Lautaro Martinez and Donyell Malen?

It’s not just a game between the league’s best attack (Inter, 13 goals scored) and its least-beaten defence (Roma, one goal conceded), but also a clash between Serie A’s finest centre-forwards: Lautaro Martinez and Malen.

The Dutchman, 27, is currently Serie A’s top scorer with six goals in four rounds, while Lautaro Martinez has scored only twice, contributing to a memorable 3-2 win over Napoli.

Lautaro, 29, has already become Serie A’s Capocannoniere twice: first in 2023-24 with 24 goals, and then in the most recent campaign, when he netted 17 league goals.

Malen joined Roma from Aston Villa in the January 2026 transfer window, but finished second in the Capocannoniere ranking last term with 14 goals in 18 Serie A games.

Including this season’s performance, Malen has now netted 21 times in 25 Serie A matches with Roma.
