Poll: Tricolores back Martinelli as ideal Fluminense captain

With Thiago Silva’s departure at the end of December, the Fluminense captain’s armband was left vacant. In a poll published by ge last Wednesday (7), Tricolor fans see midfielder Martinelli as the ideal name to take on this role.

Starting his seventh season as a professional, the “Moleque de Xerém” has a strong connection with the fans and has established himself as one of the standout players in Flu’s starting lineup for 2025. Following Martinelli, right-back Samuel Xavier is the second favorite among Tricolor fans to take on the captaincy.

Completing the list, goalkeeper Fábio, midfielder PH Ganso, and winger Cannobio are other names approved by the fans to wear the Fluminense armband during the year.
