Porto were crowned Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira champions after rallying for a 4-3 win over Sporting Lisbon in extra-time on Saturday.
Scorers: Inacio 6â˛, Gonçalves 9â˛, Quenda 24â˛; Galeno 28â˛, 66â˛, GonzĂĄlez 64â˛, Jaime 101â˛
Sporting were licking their lips 10 minutes into the final as Gonçalo InĂĄcio headed home the opener before Pedro GonÄalvesâ strike doubled the lead.
Porto were then left shaking their heads as Geovany Quenda volleyed home a third midway through the first half, and it was a mountain to climb.
But then, VĂtor Brunoâs men finally turned up and scored four unanswered goals to lift their 86th official title.
Wenderson Galeno pulled one back after poking home beyond goalkeeper Vladan KovaÄeviÄ before eventually securing a brace after the break.
Between his strikes, Nico GonzĂĄlez controlled a bobbling cross just over the penalty spot and stabbed the ball home.
All square, things went into extra-time and a dramatic winner decided this potential comeback of the century.
