Portsmouth will not be snapping up West Brom winger Jed Wallace on deadline day, according to the News.
Pompey boss John Mousinho wants to do business before the window slams shut and bringing in another centre-back is high on the agenda at Fratton Park.
Players could also leave Portsmouth as the club look to trim the squad.
They have been linked with a possible swoop to land West Brom winger Wallace, however that talk is wide of the mark.
The link with Wallace has been dubbed ‘nonsense’ and Portsmouth will not be moving for him.
Wallace, 30, came through the youth set-up at Portsmouth and turned out for the club until a 2015 move to Wolves.
He headed to Millwall two years later and became a big fan favourite.
West Brom signed the winger in the summer of 2022, but he has been linked with a move this summer.
