Portugal maintained their perfect start to the Nations League with a 2-1 comeback victory over Norway at the Estádio do Dragão.

Jorge Jesus’ side fell behind despite controlling much of the early possession. Norway struck in the 35th minute when Kristoffer Ajer brought down a long-range free-kick on his chest before producing a superb half-volley from the edge of the area, giving Diogo Costa no chance.

The response came almost instantly. Nuno Mendes’ long throw caused confusion inside the Norwegian box and, after the defence failed to clear, João Cancelo reacted first to smash a powerful first-time finish past Egil Selvik.

Portugal continued to dictate the game after the interval and nearly completed the turnaround through Cancelo, only for Selvik to make an excellent save. Norway remained dangerous on the break, with Erling Haaland sending a shot narrowly wide after receiving the ball from Patrick Berg.

The hosts eventually found the winner in the 79th minute. João Félix created space inside the area before squaring for Gonçalo Ramos, who finished from close range.

Francisco Conceição was sent off late after receiving two quick bookings, but Portugal held on for a fourth straight win, leaving them top of the group while Norway remain bottom.
