Portuguesa sign midfielder Thiaguinho on deal to end of 2026

Portuguesa have signed midfielder Thiaguinho on a contract running to the end of 2026. The 28-year-old is immediately available to head coach Fábio Matias.

According to Globo.com, Thiaguinho spent last season with Operário-PR in Série B and has not played in 2026.

A Corinthians academy graduate, he has also represented Botafogo, CRB, Ituano, Juventude and Vitória.

His honours include the Campeonato Paulista with Corinthians and the Campeonato Alagoano with CRB.

He becomes the club’s first signing since their elimination from the state championship. CEO Alex Bourgeois said at a press conference that another addition is in the works.

Ahead of the start of Série D, the squad has seen three departures, with Gabriel Pires, Marcelo Freitas and Ewerthon leaving in recent days.
