Possible América line-up to face Cruz Azul in San Diego friendly | OneFootball

América face Cruz Azul in a Thursday friendly in the United States, with a possible starting XI emerging.

According to Americayya.net, the sides meet at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, with América using the international window to play two friendlies.

Las Águilas arrive on the back of an important victory over Necaxa, having fallen behind before rallying to win by a comfortable margin.

A few weeks ago at Estadio Azteca, Cruz Azul looked set for a historic rout, yet América fought back and the match finished 4-3 against them.

Following that win, Cruz Azul lost to Rayados then drew at home with Toluca, a run that left them seventh in the table.

In goal, Luis Ángel Malagón could return. The centre-back pairing may debut with Santiago Mingo alongside Santiago Bueno, with Kevin Álvarez on the right and Franco Rossano on the left.

Midfield could feature Erick Sánchez with Ícaro da Conceicao, with Raphael Veiga ahead of them. Alejandro Zendejas may start on the left, Diego Arriaga on the right and Miguel Borja through the middle.
