Ange Postecoglou has arrived in Riyadh to begin his Al Nassr tenure after agreeing a two-year contract to replace Jorge Jesus. According to spl.com.sa, the coach, formerly in charge of Australia, Celtic and Tottenham Hotspur, landed on Saturday night.
The appointment was announced on Friday.
The Greece-born Australian, 60, steered Australia to the 2014 FIFA World Cup and won the 2015 Asian Cup. He later led Yokohama F. Marinos to the 2019 J1 League title before two trophy-laden years with Celtic.
Postecoglou also guided Tottenham to UEFA Europa League success in 2024 to 2025, the club’s first trophy in 17 years, and most recently had a brief spell in charge of Nottingham Forest late last year.
Al Nassr, who lifted the Roshn Saudi League in May for the first time in seven years, will begin their title defence when the 2026 to 2027 season starts on August 13.
