And, in case you haven't noticed, the 2024/25 European football season has been pretty damn fun thus far.

Here's our rankings of the best teams in Europe right now after all of that fun.

10. Brighton and Hove Albion

After a rather disappointing Premier League campaign in 2023/24, Brighton and Hove Albion look back to their dynamic and brilliant best under new boss Fabian Hurzeler in 2024/25. The young manager has the Seagulls firing on all cylinders in attack, with Joao Pedro and Danny Welbeck's goals seeing them win two and draw one of their first three games of the season.

9. Juventus

It's fair to say that Juventus fans were glad to see the back of Max Allegri and his dour brand of football. In the end up, the club replaced Allegri with the exact opposite of Allegri - a young manager committed to playing an exciting brand of football. And it's been so far, so good under Thiago Motta. La Vecchia Signora have bagged two wins, scored six goals and conceded zero in their first few games under the new boss. Things are only going to improve with each passing week too.

8. Bayern Munich

With a new manager and plenty of big-name new signings on the books, Bayern Munich have looked hellbent on winning back their Bundesliga title in the early weeks of the season. Judging by their first few games, they look like they're probably going to do it too.

7. PSV Eindhoven

PSV Eindhoven have played four Eredivisie games so far this season and managed to score 18 goals. For context, no other team has managed more than seven. That is utterly ridiculous goalscoring form.

6. Paris Saint-Germain

No Kylian Mbappe? No problem. To put it bluntly, PSG haven't missed Mbappe at all since he upped sticks for Real Madrid. In the first three weeks of the season, Luis Enrique's side have been on fire, scoring 16 goals and conceding just two. That's pretty damn good form if you ask us.

5. Sporting CP

Sporting CP's hopes of retaining the Liga Portugal title rested almost solely on their ability to keep hold of Viktor Gyokeres during the summer transfer window. They did exactly that, and as a result they've won all four of their games so far in 2024/25, with Gyokeres scoring a whopping seven goals. Impressive stuff.

4. Heidenheim

We can't lie: we did not expected Heidenheim to ever make in into our Power Rankings. Having won their first two Bundesliga games of the seeing, scoring six and conceding zero, and booking their place in the UEFA Europa Conference League with a win over BK Hacken, they're more than good value for their spot on this list.

3. Barcelona

Considering the financial dire straits Barcelona are in, it's rather remarkable that they're current four points clear of a UEFA Champions League-winning Real Madrid team that just signed Kylian Mbappe at the top of the La Liga table. Thanks to the mercurial form of Lamine Yamal and resurgence of Robert Lewandowski under Hansi Flick, Barca have been very good in the early weeks of the 2024/25 campaign - winning all four of their games thus far.

2. Liverpool

It seems that Manchester City took the fact that so many pundits predicted that Arsenal would win the Premier League to heart. In their first three games of the 2024/25 season, the Cityzens have looked fairly unstoppable. That is, in large part, thanks to the form of Erling Haaland, who has already netted to hat tricks this season.
