FC Bayern’s line-up for the Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain
FC Bayern will face the decisive second leg of their Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday evening. After the spectacular 4-5 defeat in the first leg in Paris, Munich will be fully focused on the clash at the Allianz Arena
Kompany will send his current best available team onto the pitch and the starting position is clear: a top performance is needed against the reigning title holders to secure a place in the final
Manuel Neuer is set to start in goal, as the 40-year-old has the necessary experience for such games and should provide the defense with the necessary stability
In defence, there is much to be said for a back four of Josip Stanisic, Dayot Upamecano, Jonathan Tah and Konrad Laimer. Alphonso Davies would be an alternative on the left, but Laimer could be preferred due to his strength in tackles – especially as PSG lose pace on the right without Achraf Hakimi
Joshua Kimmich and Aleksandar Pavlovic are likely to start in central midfield, both of whom are set to control Bayern’s play and provide the necessary balance
Kompany is likely to rely on his top attacking line-up, with Michael Olise, Jamal Musiala and Luis Diaz expected behind Harry Kane. This quartet has been a constant threat of late and could also make the difference against PSG
The absence of Serge Gnabry and Raphael Guerreiro means there are limited alternatives in attack, while other options such as Tom Bischof and Lennart Karl could come off the bench in the course of the match

FC Bayern: Neuer – Stanisic, Upamecano, Tah, Laimer – Kimmich, Pavlovic – Olise, Musiala, Luis Diaz – Kane
Paris Saint-Germain: Safonov – Zaire-Emery, Marquinhos, Pacho, Nuno Mendes – Vitinha – Joao Neves, Fabian – Doué, Dembelé, Kvaratskhelia
