Sunderland travel to the Vitality Stadium on Saturday aiming to complete a league double over Bournemouth. Despite two wins in their last 11 league games, they remain four points off the European places.
According to Sunderland Echo, Opta’s predicted final table has Arsenal first on 81.71 points, Manchester City second with 75.82, Aston Villa third on 69.68 and Liverpool fourth with 64.57. Sunderland are forecast to finish 13th on 47.80 points, Bournemouth eighth on 53.65, Newcastle United ninth with 52.76 and Everton 11th on 50.05.
The Black Cats beat Bournemouth 3-2 in November after falling behind early. Amine Adli and Tyler Adams put the visitors 2-0 up inside the first 15 minutes, before Enzo Le Fee, Bertrand Traore and Brian Brobbey turned it around.
That comeback win followed a narrow defeat at Fulham a week earlier. Regis Le Bris’ side now head south after a home loss to Fulham last weekend. They have won only two of their last 11 league fixtures.
Elsewhere in the projections, Fulham are tipped to finish 10th on 51.65 points and Brighton 12th with 49.88, while Crystal Palace are 14th on 47.59 and Leeds 15th with 45.23. Tottenham Hotspur are predicted 16th on 43.33 and Nottingham Forest 17th with 39.21. West Ham United, Burnley and Wolverhampton Wanderers are forecast to end 18th to 20th on 35.88, 29.04 and 19.47.
