Real Madrid’s entertaining 3-3 draw against Rayo Vallecano on Saturday means that Barcelona did not cede the top spot in La Liga. As such, they can extend their advantage with victory over Leganes on Sunday night.
After a gruelling midweek win away at Borussia Dortmund, it is likely that Hansi Flick will make changes to his side for the match at the Estadi Olimpic. As per Sport, the likes of Pau Cubarsi, Pedri, Lamine Yamal and Raphinha are to be rested, with starts expected for Ronald Araujo, Frenkie de Jong, Ferran Torres and Fermin Lopez.
Leganes are aiming to bounce back from their 3-0 defeat to Real Sociedad last weekend, and former Barcelona youngster Adri Altimira is expected to return to the line-up. Juan Cruz is also set to start.
Barcelona are firm favourites to win this one, and they should have more than enough quality to see off Leganes, even if significant changes are made to their line-up. However, it is not a foregone conclusion.
