Predicted XI: Enzo Maresca starts 3 Brazilians as Blues look to keep up hot form

Chelsea take on Leeds tonight, and after the chaotic fun of last week’s huge games against Barcelona and Arsenal, it’s hard to predict what team Enzo Maresca will pick.

This is the start of a crazy December with 8 games, so the manager has to think about rotation. Equally, it’s a great chance to kick on and build on this recent good form.

Enzo Maresca speaking in his press conference ahead of the Leeds game.

In goal it will be Robert Sanchez, we can at least say that with confidence. At right back, Maresca admitted in his pre-match press conference that he wouldn’t be using Reece James for a third time in a week, so Malo Gusto will get a run out.

Wesley Fofana is also likely to be rested, so it’ll probably be a Trevoh Chalobah and Benoit Badiashile partnership at the back. Marc Cucurella needs a rest – but given the rotations elsewhere, we reckon Maresca has to pick him.

In midfield Andrey Santos will step in for the suspended Moises Caicedo, alongside Enzo Fernandez.

Cole Palmer probably still isn’t ready to start, but we could get an Estevao Willian and Alejandro Garnacho pairing to give Pedro Neto a rest.

Liam Delap and Joao Pedro are both ready to play as striker and number 10 respectively in what could be a physical game.
