Burnley have some top talents in their ranks.

The strength of Burnley's squad make them real contenders to win promotion to the Premier League this season.

Despite the fact that the Clarets lost the likes of Dara O'Shea, Sander Berge, Wilson Odobert and Vitinho, they will still feel like they are in a good position to make a push for the top spots.

They were able to replace Vincent Kompany with a proven Championship boss in Scott Parker. That, combined with the rest of the squad that came down with the Belgian manager, gave Burnley a good base to work from and they capitalised on it in the opening weeks.

After a slight stumble, they now look to be back on track, in large part thanks to some quality moments from their best assets.

Teams like Burnley will receive a lot of attention in the coming windows because of their league status and the talent in their team. Regardless of whether they achieve their goal of going back up at the first time of asking, as they did with Kompany, there are a couple of members of their team that they can demand big bucks for if other clubs come calling.

James Trafford

Former Manchester City goalkeeper James Trafford was involved in a lot of the transfer talk surrounding Turf Moor this summer. Newcastle United were the ones most heavily reported to be looking at Trafford, who was picked in Gareth Southgate's preliminary England men's squad for Euro 2024 this summer.

Ultimately, despite a lot of negotiations, the two clubs couldn't find an agreement on his value and he will remain a part of Parker's team for the foreseeable future.

That doesn't mean that other teams won't test Burnley's resolve when it comes to Trafford though. Despite a number of relatively poor displays in the previous campaign, the promising signs he showed on loan at Bolton Wanderers and for England's under-21s suggest that he is a real talent.

Burnley were reported to be asking for £20 million for him this summer. Given the length of his contract (it ends in the summer of 2027), it's unlikely that his price will get much cheaper. That combined with the pre-existing top-flight interest makes him very likely to earn the Clarets some good money in the near future.

Luca Koleosho

Had it not been for his major knee injury last season, it would have been no surprise to see many clubs going after Luca Koleosho this summer.

The 20-year-old Italian winger is simply electric when on the ball. He has that deadly combination of skills that opposition defenders must hate; the ability to run and glide with the ball and then provide an emphatic finish at the end.

His sky-high potential isn't lost on Premier League clubs, with Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest reportedly among those keeping an eye on him.

Koleosho is ready to make the next step up in his career; whether it's with Burnley remains to be seen. If his future doesn't lie with Turf Moor, then whoever takes him off their hands will have to spend a pretty penny in order to do so.

Like Trafford, he was acquired by the Clarets last summer and was given a long-term deal. With over 4.5 years left on that contract, there's no risk of losing him for free, meaning this talented winger is going to cost any potential suitors a lot of money.
