These three could well be gathering interest in the coming months, depending on the Pilgrims' battle against Championship relegation
Plymouth Argyle have a battle on their hands between now and the end of the season to stay in the Championship, with Miron Muslic looking to turn fortunes around at Home Park after his January arrival.
The Austrian has already overseen a momentous 1-0 victory over Liverpool in the FA Cup in his early days as Pilgrims boss, and will now have his sights set on lifting his side from the bottom of the second tier in the coming months.
Keeping the Greens in the top rung of the EFL will make a huge difference in the futures of a number of players this summer, with departures expected one way or the other, depending on which division they find themselves in when the season comes to a close in the first week of May.
Here we take a look at what players could potentially leave for a fee in the coming months, and just how much Argyle could recoup as a result.
If the rumours are to be believed, Bali Mumba had his suitors in the January transfer window, with Leeds United said to be a prominent club linked with the former Norwich City full-back.
Daniel Farke was said to have sent scouts to watch the 22-year-old in the Pilgrims 1-0 success over Brentford in the FA Cup third round, with the German being in charge at Carrow Road when Mumba was there as a player.
Argyle have a wealth of options in the wide defensive positions as it stand, with January recruit Tymoteusz Puchacz immediately becoming a regular on the left-hand side, while Matty Sorinola continues to impress on the right.
With Joe Edwards returning from injury, and the likes of Saxon Earley and Nathanael Ogbeta also on the books, Argyle may be tempted to cash in on Mumba this summer, and reinvest that money back into the playing squad, just as they did with Morgan Whittaker last month.
Having joined the club for a then-joint-record fee of £1 million in the summer of 2023, Mumba could easily be worth double, or even triple that now, with the Greens likely to demand a fee between £2 million - £3 million if they were to allow him to leave.
With Lewis Gibson leaving for a reported £1.5 million and Whittaker for £6 million, Mumba should fit somewhere between the two, and having beaten the best team in the country without him, his departure could well be a possibility for a savvy Argyle board.
This is one that Argyle fans won’t want to hear, but unless contract conversations pick up in the next few months, the departure of Adam Randell could well be a possibility they have to consider over the summer.
The Greens have already been burned by an academy graduate not signing an extension to their deal with Michael Cooper in the past, with the goalkeeper forcing a move to Sheffield United last summer as he entered the final year of his deal in Devon.
Randell finds himself in a similar situation this time around, with his current contact set to elapse in the summer of 2026, and his value rising all the time after a series of strong performances in the middle of the park.
The ‘Plymstock Pirlo’ has become the beating heart of this Pilgrims side of late, with his energetic displays in the engine room earning plenty of plaudits, as he gives his all for the club he supported as a boy.
Ask every single member of the Green Army and the 24-year-old is well deserving of a mega-deal to keep him at the club for the foreseeable future, as he looks set to be the long-term captain of the club, should he pledge his future to Home Park when the time comes.
Conversations are likely to be on hold until Argyle’s fate is decided this season, but if things aren’t sorted soon, there could be plenty of gossip starting to spread regarding his future, although the Greens will likely want £3 million - £5 million for a player that has blossomed in recent years.
He may only be a matter of weeks into his Argyle career, but Maxi Talovierov has already proven he is a defender of real class at the heart of the Pilgrims’ backline.
The Ukraine international reads the game so well, can be physical when he needs to be, and most importantly, has a love for defending that embodies every fibre of his being.
The Greens broke their transfer record to bring the centre-back in from LASK in the winter, with a reported £1.7 million being spent to help add to their defensive options, and that is already looking like something of a bargain buy.
With victories against West Bromwich Albion and Liverpool in his first two starts at Home Park, the 24-year-old has already proven his quality at the back, with the likes of Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz all still trying to find a way out of his back pocket as we speak.
This one depends on if Argyle stay in the second tier, because if they do, he will likely play his part in the Championship next season, but if League One beckons, it is hard to see him wanting to feature in the third tier, when he looks destined for bigger and better things.
Argyle will have been shrewd in that regard, and will likely have inserted a release clause in his contract so they get their money back, and maybe more, if they do need to let him go, with a £2 million - £3 million deal seeing them cut their losses if the worst does happen.
They will be hoping that doesn’t need to come to fruition though, with the battle against the drop likely to go down to the wire after their recent resurgence.
