The 2026-27 Premier League season begins with a Friday night curtain-raiser.
According to NY Times, champions Arsenal begin the defence of their crown, and Manchester City enter a new post-Pep Guardiola chapter. Coventry City return to the top flight after 25 years, joining fellow promoted clubs Hull City and Ipswich Town.
All times BST. Friday, 21 August, eight pm: Arsenal v Coventry City. Saturday, 22 August, twelve thirty pm: Hull City v Manchester United, three pm: Everton v Crystal Palace, Ipswich Town v Sunderland, Nottingham Forest v Leeds United, five thirty pm: Brentford v Tottenham Hotspur. Sunday, 23 August, two pm: Brighton & Hove Albion v Aston Villa, Manchester City v Bournemouth, four thirty pm: Newcastle United v Liverpool. Monday, 24 August, eight pm: Fulham v Chelsea.
All matches kick off at four pm BST on Sunday, 30 May: Arsenal v Brighton & Hove Albion, Aston Villa v Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea v Brentford, Coventry City v Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace v Leeds United, Hull City v Newcastle United, Ipswich Town v Everton, Liverpool v Bournemouth, Manchester United v Fulham, Sunderland v Manchester City.
The summer transfer window opened on Monday, 15 June and closes at eleven pm BST on Tuesday, one September. The winter window runs from Friday, one January to Friday, one February, closing at eleven pm GMT. The campaign opens with the 2026 Community Shield between league champions Arsenal and FA Cup winners Manchester City on Sunday, 16 August, and finishes on Sunday, 30 May 2027.
