West Ham and Wolves are amongst the clubs reportedly interested in securing the services of 21-year-old Marc Casadó this summer, according to Marca‘s Matteo Moretto. Both Premier League sides are understood to be monitoring the midfielder’s situation closely, though the defensive midfielder appears content to remain at Barcelona.

Born in Sant Pere de Vilamajor, Casadó signed for Barça’s academy in 2016 after rising through the ranks of various youth teams in Catalunya including Grenollers and CF Damm. He was named as the Juvenil A captain before progressing to Barça Atlétic.

His senior debut came in November 2022, just months after his Atlétic debut, as a substitute in a UEFA Champions League group stage match against Viktoria Plzeň. Casadó remained with Barça Atlétic throughout 2023/24 and was named as the team’s captain, playing matches for them while training with the first team. His LaLiga debut came in the form of a substitute appearance against Atletico Madrid in March 2024.

Casadó started 20 LaLiga fixtures last season, contributing 3 goals and an assist.

An offer in the region of £26m [€30m] could be enough to persuade the Blaugrana to sell Casadó, who did not feature as they began their LaLiga title defence against RCD Mallorca on the weekend.
