Premier League clubs have been warned that Mexican teenager Gilberto Mora will cost a huge fee this summer.
The midfielder has attracted interest from Europe’s top teams after an exciting emergence at Tijuana. At just 17, Mora has made almost 50 appearances for the Tijuana and became his country’s youngest international debutant.
He was part of the Mexico squad that won the Gold Cup in the summer, becoming the youngest player ever to win a senior international tournament in the process.
World football’s biggest clubs have taken note, including those in the Premier League, but Mora’s suitors have been warned he will not come cheap.
The player’s agent, Rafaela Pimienta, believes Tijauna can demand a substantial fee for the talented teenager.
“Why can a player that plays in Brazil cost £70 million, but if you’re in Mexico you cost £7 million?” she said.
The Brazilian league is 10-times better than Liga MX? No, that’s not true.”
