According to ExpressAndStar.com, the Premier League’s Key Match Incidents Panel has ruled Brentford should have been awarded a penalty in their 2-2 draw with Wolves, leaving Wolves fortunate to come away with a point.

Brentford were 2-0 up in the 41st minute when Kevin Schade was held by Andre in the area. The on-field decision was no penalty and VAR did not intervene.

The panel judged the holding sustained and voted 4:1 in favour of a spot-kick, but said it was not a clear and obvious error so VAR was right not to step in.

Wolves later hit back at the Gtech Community Stadium as goals from Adam Armstrong and Tolu Arokodare hauled them level. It was their final outing before a three-week break.

Arokodare struck the bar late on as Wolves threatened to take all three points.
