Last season's top two were both beaten, Liverpool continued their impressive start, Tottenham blew Aston Villa away and Manchester United and Chelsea played out a stalemate in the latest round of Premier League action.
But who stood out most to take our Player of the Week award?

The Bournemouth winger has found himself being linked with a big move away with increasing regularity of late and performances like the one he produced against Manchester City on Saturday are exactly why.
From start to finish, the 24-year-old tormented the champions, who couldn't handle his physicality and directness.
In the 2-1 win, Semenyo scored one and had a big hand in the other when his forward running led to Evanilson's winner - which is why he narrowly edges team-mate Milos Kerkez out for the honour.
By the close of play, he had won more duels than any other player on the park with 11, completed more dribbles than anyone else on the south coast and even had more take-ons (six) than anyone else in the league last weekend.
As he has shown over the past 18 months, when he is on form and clicking, he can be unplayable and Saturday provided the latest piece of evidence.
It was an even more notable showing considering that he was shifted from his usual right wing role to take up position on the left - much to the frustration of Kyle Walker, who never got to grips with the Ghana international.
"He's been playing very well all season. I think we demand a lot from him because we believe he can give a lot," his coach Andoni Iraola said afterwards.
"I think he's always going to be dangerous for every full-back or every centre-back he attacks. He scored again and everyone is giving him more recognition."
That's an understatement.
More and more prestigious clubs are now being linked and he deserves every bit of it, having come a long way from the player who took a year away from the game as a 16-year-old after being rejected by Crystal Palace.
What a turnaround.
