The 2024/25 Premier League returns from the international break and gameweek four is jam packed with action.

A bumper Saturday sees eight games across the day, with Manchester City and Liverpool among those involved. Man City and Liverpool are the two teams still perfect in the Premier League heading into gameweek four.

The weekend opens with Southampton hosting Manchester United and closes as Newcastle United travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

But the highlight of the weekend is, of course, the North London derby between Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal at 2pm on Sunday.

We’ve looked at all 10 matches from gameweek three and offered our predicted scores.

Southampton vs Man Utd

Manchester United return from the international break hoping to stop the rot. The Red Devils have lost two of their opening three Premier League games of a season for the second time under Erik ten Hag. However, Southampton have lost all three of their league games so far. Man Utd are unbeaten in their last 12 away league games against Southampton.

Brighton vs Ipswich

Life under Fabian Hurzeler has started quite nicely for Brighton. The Seagulls have taken seven points from their opening three games and are one of seven sides still unbeaten in the Premier League. Ipswich, meanwhile, have had a rough return to the top flight. The Tractor Boys lost their opening two matches to Liverpool and Man City, before getting a draw against Fulham.

Crystal Palace vs Leicester

This is a meeting between two teams with one point each after three games. There was a lot of excitement surrounding Crystal Palace going into this season, their first full campaign under Oliver Glasner. But the Eagles opened with two defeats before a draw last time out. Leicester City have done the reverse. They drew their first game against Tottenham before losing their next two. Palace have won nine games against Leicester in the Premier League, beating no other team more in the competition.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 2-1 Leicester (11/2 with 10bet)

Fulham vs West Ham

It’s been a mixed start to the season for both of these sides. Fulham have taken four points from their opening three games, bouncing back from an opening weekend defeat to Man Utd. West Ham, meanwhile, have a win sandwiched by two draws. Last time out they were beaten by Man City. Although Fulham did the double over West Ham last season, the Hammers had won five of the previous six meetings.

Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest

  • Preview: Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest predictions and stats

Liverpool have been perfect to start the new Premier League season. And we mean perfect. The Reds have won all three of their matches so far, without conceding. Arne Slot is hoping to become just the third manager to win their first four Premier League games without conceding after Jose Mourinho and Sven Goran-Eriksson. Nottingham Forest have taken five points from their opening three games, still unbeaten. But they haven’t scored in their past two matches against Liverpool.

Man City’s defence of their Premier League title has stared perfectly. Pep Guardiola’s men have won all three of their matches so far and sit top of the table. However, after a clean sheet to start the season, Man City have conceded in each of their past two matches. Brentford will be hoping to test Man City’s defence. The Bees have won two of their three matches, either side of a defeat to Liverpool. But Man City have won four of their six Premier League games against Brentford.

Aston Villa vs Everton

Aston Villa are one of a handful of teams two have won two of their opening three games this season. Unai Emery’s side beat both West Ham and Leicester either side of a defeat to Arsenal. Now, the Villans are yet to keep a clean sheet this season, but they face a struggling Everton. The Toffees are still without a point and must pick themselves up after crumbling against Bournemouth. Since their return to the Premier League, Aston Villa are unbeaten in their 10 matches against Everton with seven clean sheets.

Bournemouth vs Chelsea

Chelsea travel to Bournemouth hoping to build on their start away from home. The Blues are winless at Stamford Bridge in the league this season, but picked up three points against Wolves on the road. But they have won just one of their past four visits to the Vitality Stadium, with two draws. Bournemouth are also unbeaten in the league this season with one win and two draws — though that should really be two wins and one draw.

Prediction: Bournemouth 1-1 Chelsea (7/1 with Parimatch)

Tottenham vs Arsenal

The big one of the weekend, Arsenal will be hoping to carry on their unbeaten start to the new season. The Gunners won their opening two games but did drop points to Brighton before the break. Tottenham, meanwhile, have four points from their opening three games and lost to Newcastle last time out. Arsenal have also won five of their past seven games against Tottenham across all competitions.

We close the weekend with two teams experiencing very different starts. Wolves opened the campaign with back-to-back defeats, including a 6-2 thrashing at the hands of Chelsea at Molineux. They did get their first point of the campaign before the international break with a draw against Fulham. Newcastle are one of seven teams still unbeaten though there is a bit of fortune with that. The Magpies have won two and drawn one, but Bournemouth were controversially disallowed a goal that would have seen them beat Newcastle.
