As Real Madrid blitz through new arrivals in the ongoing summer transfer window, they have been unable to execute an equal set of departures from the first-team yet.

The club have indeed stood to gain from the departure of academy stars and windfalls from external transfers. The first-team itself, however, has seen very limited movement in terms of exits.

Gonzalo Garcia, on that front, has stood out as a candidate who can leave this summer, especially with Endrick returning to the dynamic. Premier League’s Fulham have been most closely linked with the player so far.

Going all-in

As reported by Matteo Moretto in a recent update, Fulham are fully convinced by the signing of Gonzalo Garcia and are set to launch a bid. They are going to go ‘all-in’ for the Real Madrid striker.

The Premier League side are willing to make a very big offer for the Spaniard, and their new manager Alvaro Arbeloa sees it as his top priority in attack.

After all, the coach spent significant time with Garcia during his time at Real Madrid last season and knows exactly what quality he will be adding to his side through the transfer.

Real Madrid’s tough decision

Real Madrid know well that one of Gonzalo and Endrick must leave in the summer, but it was initially expected that the decision would only be taken after Jose Mourinho maintains an eye on both players in pre-season.

Now, however, the club are slowly but surely leaning towards Garcia being the one chosen to leave, and a massive offer from Fulham will certainly catch their eye as a big chance to land a financial gain.

Concurrently, however, Real Madrid do not wish to lose complete control over the youngster’s future and are thus pushing to retain some percentage of the player’s rights or to keep a sell-on clause.

The coming days will be critical in deciding Garcia’s future and his potential move to the Premier League. Needless to say, it is a massive chance for him to move into the limelight and earn regular minutes at the highest level.
