Premier League transfers so far as Sunderland’s rivals do business

Premier League clubs have moved early in the summer window, while Sunderland are yet to make a signing as they prepare for a first Europa League campaign.
According to Sunderland Echo, the only confirmed business on Wearside is departures, with Dan Neil and Dennis Cirkin leaving at contract end, and Bertrand Traore and Niall Huggins also released. The window opened just under three weeks ago.
Tottenham have been active, signing Jan Paul van Hecke from Brighton for £52m and adding Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi and Martin Dúbravka on free transfers. Brighton brought in Costinha and Zadok Yohanna. Solly March and Adam Webster were released, and James Milner retired.
Newcastle sold Anthony Gordon to Barcelona for £60.5m. Chelsea moved Marc Cucurella to Real Madrid for £51.8m, while Manchester United transferred Rasmus Højlund to Napoli for £43.2m. Kieran Trippier joined Wolves on a free.
Liverpool signed Jérémy Jacquet for £55m and Víctor Muñoz for £35m, with Mohamed Salah released and Andrew Robertson heading to Spurs. Arsenal made Piero Hincapié’s loan permanent and Everton recruited Merlin Röhl. Aston Villa added Modou Keba Cisse from LASK.
Elsewhere, Manchester City lost Manuel Akanji to Inter, Bernardo Silva to Real Madrid on a free, and John Stones was released. Bournemouth recorded exits including Senesi to Spurs. Ipswich signed Chuba Akpom and Cedric Kipre.
Crystal Palace and Hull City reported no movement to date, while Coventry City and Nottingham Forest confirmed departures. The list is growing as the window progresses.
