Press review: France v Belgium and Zidane’s work in progress | OneFootball

This Monday, October 5, the French press (from a sporting perspective) had nothing directly related to Paris Saint-Germain to mention. The main focus is on the French national team and its Nations League match at the Stade de France against Belgium (kick-off at 8:45 p.m., broadcast on TF1). In particular, the details that coach Zinedine Zidane still needs to fine-tune.

Le Parisien –

L’Equipe –

It should be a great match tonight, with two ambitious teams and some exciting attacking weapons. Even if there will be rotation after an intense international break and with suspensions. Zidane has a lot to take into account for his lineup tonight, and everything cannot be perfect.

That is only natural for just his fourth match. It takes time to implement a playing philosophy and find the best possible formula with his squad. It is all the more delicate with a national team, since the group and the coach are not together all year round. In fact, it is relatively rare over the course of a season. But there are good foundations, and the intention is clear: to get closer to PSG. While still sorting out a few uncertainties. Perhaps that will also involve other players in future call-ups.
