Coach Thiago Motta and Teun Koopmeiners spoke to the press following Juventus’ 2-2 draw against Bologna on Matchday 15 of the 2024/2025 Serie A season.
“The reaction is a positive aspect after going two goals behind. The lads showed great heart and salvaged a draw. However, we are definitely not satisfied with our performance and the result, a draw is not the result we want. We have to keep working hard to raise the level and that's my responsibility. We were not able to beat Bologna's press, and we were not good at taking advantage of overloads in attack. Koopmeiners has always done well since he arrived and he did it again today. To have scored today is just one part of his game: he attacks, defends, creates and helps his teammates. [Samuel] Mbangula did well when he came on, apart from the goal he helped a lot out wide.”
“Not just me, but the whole team performed well in the last 20 minutes: we have to play the whole 90 minutes like that, because when we can attack with energy, we make passes forward and press in the right way in defence. We must aim to play like the last 20 minutes, that's very important. We know that only 20 minutes is not enough, we have to control the game from start to finish. Dusan [Vlahovic] is dangerous outside the box and inside the box, I can also create an assist or a goal like today, it's one of the many ways we can help the team. I can't be happy just because of my goal, for me it's important to win so I can't be happy today.”
