Preston North End host Millwall in the Championship at Deepdale on Saturday, 28 February 2026, with the hosts ninth on 49 points and the visitors third on 59 in a live play-off race.

Four of the past five league meetings between the sides have ended level, including November's 1-1 draw, so fine margins could decide the points.

Preston have drawn three of their last five, including a 1-1 at Swansea after a narrow defeat at Blackburn. The Lions arrive with three wins in five, capped by a 3-0 home victory over Birmingham.

Preston goalkeeper Daniel Iversen is sidelined. The Lions have several injuries, including Massimo Luongo, Joe Bryan, Lukas Jensen, William Smallbone, Caleb Taylor, Benicio Baker-Boaitey and Daniel Kelly.

Preston have nine clean sheets, 41 goals for and 38 against. They have not scored from set pieces, so shots from range, where they have 10 goals, may be a key route. The Lions have 13 clean sheets and have won 903 aerial duels, and with Femi Azeez on eight league goals and a high crossing output, they could threaten from deliveries. For creativity at the other end, Lewis Norman Dobbin has supplied five assists for Preston this season.

A win would take Preston to 52 points and could pull them closer to the top six. Victory for the Lions would move them to 62 and strengthen their grip on the promotion play-off places.
