Brentford and Chelsea face each other this Saturday at the Gtech Community Stadium for matchweek four of the Premier League. The match will be broadcast live at 20:00 on Sky Sports Main Event.
Brentford have picked up three points from their three top flight games to date and currently lie in 15th position. In their last fixture, Keith Andrews's team suffered a frustrating 2-1 reverse against Sunderland having taken the lead with less than a quarter of an hour to go.
Chelsea, meanwhile, have won seven points to date and are well-placed in second. Last time out, Enzo Maresca's team triumphed 2-0 against Fulham (Premier League 2025/26).
The last meeting between these two teams ended in a 0-0 draw earlier this year.
TalkBees (TalkBees): Returning from a much needed international break following a disappointing loss to Sunderland, we face Chelsea in what is always a big game - a West London derby.
Chelsea are enjoying a fine start to the season, coming up against a Brentford side who would feel slightly disappointed about their season, but are notoriously sturdy at home.
A derby day under the lights is always tricky to call, but I’ll go for a close Chelsea win.
Prediction: 1-2
Stephen Gillett (Playmakerstats on Chelsea): On paper, Chelsea look to be a strong favourites in this one given their positive start to the season, and the touted return of Cole Palmer. However, an injury to Liam Delap has robbed them of an out-and-out striker and the responsibility of leading the line will fall even more squarely on João Pedro's shoulders. That said, Pedro has hit the ground running for the Blues and currently no player has been involved in more Premier League goals than the Brazilian (two goals and two assists) so far this season. Brentford have a Samba striker of their own to give Pedro a run for his money on Saturday, in Igor Thiago, but the game is likely to be won and lost in midfield where Brentford need to nullify the considerable talents of Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernández. Prediction: 0-2
Brentford: Caoimhin Kelleher, Michael Kayode, Sepp van den Berg, Nathan Collins, Keane Lewis-Potter, Jordan Henderson, Yehor Yarmoliuk, Mikkel Damsgaard, Dango Ouattara, Igor Thiago, Kevin Schade
