Burnley and Nottingham Forest face each other this Saturday at the Turf Moor on Match Day five of the Premier League.
Burnley have won 3 points to date and are placed in 17th position. In their last game, Scott Parker's team lost 0-1 against Liverpool (Premier League 2025/26).
Nottingham Forest have 4 points to their name this season and occupy 15th position in the table. Last time out, Ange Postecoglou's team slipped to a 3-2 defeat against Swansea City (Carabao Cup 2025/26).
The last meeting between the two teams ended with Nottingham Forest winning 2-1.
Rich Ferraro (1865: The Nottingham Forest Podcast): Ugh. This doesn't feel like it will be pretty; I can definitely understand why this has not been chosen for live TV.
Writing this in the aftermath of Forest's late Carabao Cup capitulation, the mood is understandably a bit glum for Reds fans; but there were glimmers of something exciting, especially with the liquid football that led to Igor Jesus' second goal. Of course Burnley are specialists at the shut-out, so they are going to be a tougher nut to crack.
The other thing that is obvious is that Ange has to work out not only which players he likes, but finding the best combinations; bringing on 'established' players as subs only disrupted the team's Qi. Through no real fault of his own, the pressure is on the big Aussie to find a winning formula, and fast.
