Blackburn Rovers have won 7 points to date and are placed in 21st position. In their last fixture, Valérien Ismaël's team shared the spoils 1-1 with Stoke City (EFL Championship 2025/26).

The last meeting between the two teams ended with Coventry City winning 2-0.

The Fan Zone

Ross Cooper (SkyBlues Extra ): The international break is over and the real football is back and, as a Coventry City fan, I can't wait for the weekend. It has been great to see us top of the Championship over the last couple of weeks although admittedly it is still very early days with an awfully long way to go. But the signs are very good, lot's of goals, 4 consecutive clean sheets on the bounce, the latest coming in the 0-5 away demolition of Sheffield Wednesday.

We welcome Blackburn Rovers to the CBS Arena this Saturday in a game where the expectation will be for another entertaining display, lots of goals and ultimately another win and 3 points to keep our unbeaten start to the season going. However there are a few aspects to this game that make is tricky. Blackburn have got threats, are more than capable of causing teams problems and scoring goals and they will certainly ask more questions of our defence that they had asked of them against Sheffield Wednesday.

The other aspect to this is the fact that our two most in form players; Haji Wright and Brandon Thomas-Asante, have both been on the other side of the world during this international break so of course there is a slight worry that perhaps they may not be fully rested coming into Saturday's game. The positive spin though is that, to our knowledge, none of our players picked up injuries whilst away, with the only thing being picked up was the Man of the Match award by Haji Wright after his brace for the USA. So hopefully his outstanding form can continue.

Victor Torp and Josh Eccles were casualties and missed out featuring against Sheff Wed, so hopefully the break has allowed them to get back ready and fit to play as well as allowing other players in our small squad a chance to rest and get ready for this next block of 6 games.

Prediction: 2-1
