Ipswich Town host West Bromwich at Portman Road this Saturday for Matchday 12 of the EFL Championship, with kick-off at 12:30 live on Sky Sports Football.
The Tractor Boys sit 14th with 13 points after a heavy 3-0 defeat to Charlton Athletic in their last outing, while West Brom are 10th with 17 points, having fallen 2-1 to Watford in midweek.
Their most recent meeting ended in a 2-2 draw, setting the stage for what promises to be an intriguing clash as both sides aim to bounce back.
The last meeting between the two teams ended in a 2-2 draw.
Adam Wilkin (Blue Monday): "7 changes Kieran? That's Insane!" It's safe to say the midweek rotation did not work and I'd expect there to be a similar number of changes back on Saturday.
A stuttering start was followed by a decent run of form but the recent week has certainly been a wobble for a team that expects to be competing higher up the table. Azor Matusiwa was a big miss and it will be a massive boost to have him back for this one, particularly given the hot streak of Isaac Price for the opposition but there are still underlying tactical issues that don't seem to have been sorted in this McKenna 2.0 gameplan.
West Brom are a team that Town always seem to struggle with and Ryan Mason has got them defending well whilst offering a threat in attack. I'm not overly optimistic going into this one. We very much need a win to turn the tide of discontent starting to build but I have a feeling this will end in a draw
Prediction: 1-1
AllAlbionFans (AllAlbionFans): Watford(A) started well on Wednesday with Price continuing his form this season with a 5th goal and a cracking one. Unfortunately The Hornets did the same to equalise and it was downhill from there.
We went into last weekend with almost everyone fully fit which not many teams have but when the squad was announced 2 days ago there was a few missing.
We’re waiting for updates today but Molumby was a big miss and Gilchrist is our only RB. Campbell fills in and it’s like a rollercoaster. Some games he’s good and others it’s clear he’s not a RB.
The Trotters have 5 of our former backline in Palmer, Furlong, O’Shea, Kipre and Townsend. The 1st and last are injured. Furlong and Kipre didn’t start in the week but I assume this was due to rotation and after a 3-0 Home loss they’ll be straight back in.
It’s a hard one to judge. Ipswich are a team I expected to get automatic promotion but that’s not how they’ve started the season.
With the extra day to prepare and us having 2 Away games in quick succession I don’t think the 6:45am coach is going to be happy on the return journey.
The Addicks showed that they can be got at so hopefully confidence is low for them and the crowd is nervy.
Prediction: 2-0
