Leicester City and Sheffield United clash this Saturday at the King Power Stadium for matchweek 18 of the EFL Championship. The match will be broadcast live at 12:30 on Sky Sports Football.
Leicester City have won 24 points to date and are placed in 15th position. Last time out, Martí Cifuentes' team slipped to a 3-0 defeat against Southampton (EFL Championship 2025/26).
Sheffield United have picked up 16 points and currently lie in 21st position. In their last match, Chris Wilder's team prevailed 3-0 against Portsmouth (EFL Championship 2025/26).
The last meeting between the two teams ended with Leicester City winning 5-0.
Chris Forryan (Leicester till I die tv (LTiDtv)): A must win for Leicester, or a the very least a draw. Whilst the red card didn't help we were ripped apart by Southampton Midweek
Prediction: 1-1
Theo (Allthingsblades): It has taken 17 games but Sheffield United finally look like they’re back on track after consecutive 3-0 wins and limiting their opponents to just two shots on target combined in the two games.
The 442/ 4222 system has been a breath of fresh air for Wilder's Blades and the two strikers really seem to connect well with each other. Gus Hamer will likely start his first game since October after getting some good minutes in and a classic outside of the box goal by the Dutch midfielder, this will be a huge boost for United and finally they will have a strong squad and hopefully start to climb the table.
After 6/6 points in the three-game week a point would still be a very positive result for the Blades and that’s what i’m predicting.
