PREVIEW: Manchester United set sights on top five as they face West Ham | OneFootball

Manchester United host West Ham at Old Trafford in gameweek 14 of the Premier League on Thursday evening.

The Red Devils are heading into the match on the back of a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace but their form has still been inconsistent; draws with Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur, followed by an Old Trafford defeat at the hands of Everton, preceded that win.

The hosts suffered both a home and an away defeat against the Hammers in the Premier League last season.

Last time the sides met at Old Trafford was in May when it ended in a 2-0 win for West Ham.

Ruben Amorim’s men have won two of their last five matches in the Premier League, with wins over Crystal Palace and Brighton.

Manchester United will be without Benjamin Šeško and Harry Maguire due to injuries and currently sit ninth in the Premier League table.

Meanwhile, the visitors head to Old Trafford on the back of a 2-0 home loss against Liverpool at the London Stadium, though they have won two of their last four games under the stewardship of Nuno Espírito Santo.

That fairly positive run came on the back of a winless six games which culminated in the sacking of then manager Graham Potter.

Espírito Santo’s men haven’t kept a clean sheet in their last 10 games, while the Red Devils have failed to secure a clean sheet in their last six matches.

They will be without Oliver Scarles due to injury and Crysencio Summerville is a doubt due to fitness. Lucas Paquetá will also be absent as he serves his suspension picked up in the defeat to Liverpool.

The match will be broadcast live on Sky Sports with the match kicking off at 20:00 GMT.
