Let’s take a look at some of the stats around this season opener.

INTERESTING FACTS

  • Juventus and Parma have faced off just twice across all competitions. Both games came in Serie A, and both ended 2-1 to the Bianconere in 2022/23.
  • The Bianconere have only ever lost one of their 24 games against Emilian sides across all competitions - a 2-1 defeat at Sassuolo on 27 March, 2019.
  • Juventus scored 20 goals from dead ball situations in Serie A last season, which was among the best across Europe’s top-five leagues. Only Barcelona (25), Lyon (24) and Real Madrid (22) had more. The Bianconere also boasted 12 goals scored by substitutes in Serie A last season, again a high for the Italian top flight.
  • Chiara Beccari has taken part in two goals in her four appearances against Parma - one goal and one assist. Beccari is the youngest player to have more than 10 goals in the last four Serie A seasons (13).
  • New Bianconera Michela Cambiaghi made 24 appearances for Parma in 2022/23, scoring five times. She has already put two goals past her former side, netting twice against them as an Inter player on 24 November, 2024.

OPPOSITION FOCUS

  1. Annahita Zambian played 82 times for Juventus Women, scoring her first 11 goals in Italy with the Bianconere. She has since scored twice against them, once for Fiorentina and once for Sassuolo.
  2. In Serie B last season, no Parma player scored more than Ghana Ferrario’s 12 - the same as ex-Gialloblu player Alessia Rognoni. She already has a goal against Juventus to her name, scoring for Pomigliano on 22 January, 2023.
  3. In the last five Serie A seasons, Camelia Caesar has conceded 24 goals in 12 games against Juventus, at least five more than she has against any other side in that timeframe. As well, only against Inter and Milan (30) has the new Parma goalkeeper made more saves than the 28 she has pulled off against the Bianconere in that period.
