QPR and Bristol City face off this Saturday at Loftus Road in the EFL Championship.

The London side have picked up 49 points and currently lie in 15th position, their situation much improved after a 1-3 win against Oxford United in the week.

Bristol City appear to have hit form at the right time in the campaign and the Robins are currently fifth in the Championship with 63 points. Last time out, Liam Manning's team left it late, but scored in injury time to record a 2-1 victory against play-off rivals West Brom.

The last meeting between these two sides ended in a 1-1 draw earlier this season.

The Fan Zone

Ben Platt (W12Podcast ): After an unexpected and welcome win away at Oxford on Wednesday, QPR are now within touching distance of survival, probably needing just 2 more points. Despite low expectations going into the match, the injury-hit R's were deserving winners at the Kassam Stadium, securing a 3-1 victory with goals from Ronnie Edwards, an own goal, and a late strike by Yang Min Hyeok to ease any nerves.

While it was a much-needed win, it came at a cost, with three more players—Sam Field, Paul Smyth, and Ken Paal—going off injured. They are all unlikely to be available for Saturday, adding to the already incredible list of players out. However, QPR will be boosted by the return of Koki Saito from suspension and Rayan Kolli from injury. With many familiar faces returning to Loftus Road and a difficult test anticipated against Bristol City, QPR can take comfort in their much-improved home form, having lost only 2 of their last 12 games at LR.

Prediction: 1-1

Ben Mead (Robins on Tour): With just five games to go in the Championship season, Bristol City find themselves in 5th, three points clear of 7th place Middlesbrough, after an incredible last-minute winner against play-off rivals West Brom on Tuesday. Liam Manning and his side will be looking to continue this magnificent momentum as they travel over to the capital to take on Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road on Saturday.

Haydon Robert's 96th minute winner sent Ashton Gate into chaos on Tuesday night, with fans celebrating long into the night as the Red's moved up to 5th. A sold-out away end will follow them to the capital on Saturday, hoping to push the red's over the line once more and hopefully take some more vital points back to Bristol.

Injury wise, luckily no-body seemed to pick up any injuries on Tuesday! However Scott Twine, once again, wasn't in the matchday squad, possibly hinting at a longer term injury, so I'm not expecting to see him at Loftus Road on Saturday. George Earthy gave yet another MOTM performance vs West Brom and will hopefully start again on Saturday. George Tanner also returned from injury for a few minutes on Tuesday, giving us even more options at the back for the final few games.

Prediction: 1-2
