The final Bundesliga matchday of the season is approaching and RB Leipzig will be looking to make sure they don’t miss out on European football as they host Stuttgart at Red Bull Arena.
Leipzig will be without European football next season if they lose against Stuttgart as they are currently in seventh place with 51 points following their 0-0 draw with Werder Bremen last week.
There are things to improve on as Die Roten Bullen have kept one clean sheet in their last eight games and have conceded 15 goals during that time.
Zsolt Low’s side are level on points with sixth placed Mainz, who are currently occupying the Conference League spot.
As for their opponents, Stuttgart are coming off the back of a 4-0 win against Augsburg last week and are in ninth place with 47 points.
Sebastian Hoeness’ side have now kept two clean sheets in a row for the first time since May 2024 and have lost just two of their last 13 away matches, winning seven of these.
In the reverse fixture, Stuttgart won 2-1 back in January.
Team News
For Leipzig, Lukas Klostermann was shown his fifth yellow card of the season in the match against Werder Bremen therefore he is suspended for the final league game.
David Raum and Kevin Kampl missed the game in Bremen with suspension. They will both be available again.
Willi Orban was able to complete parts of team training on Wednesday whilst Xaver Schlager is back in full training.
As for Stuttgart, Enzo Millot will be recalled to the starting line-up whilst Angelo Stiller and Yannik Keitel have suffered injuries and will be joining Ameen Al-Dakhil, Leonidas Stergiou, El Bilal, Dan-Axel Zagadou, Anrie Chase and Luca Raimund on the sideline.
Finn Jeltsch is also a doubt.
