Before the Champions League clash in Paris, FC Bayern is receiving prominent support. A former Munich man shows on site that his connection to the club still exists.

Hasan Salihamidzic tuned into the semi-final first leg between FC Bayern and Paris Saint-Germain in the French capital. The 49-year-old posted an Instagram photo from a roof terrace with a view of the Eiffel Tower on Monday evening.

The former Bayern sports director was not traveling alone. Salihamidzic met up with several friends for dinner in Paris. Among them was Marco Neppe, who used to work as technical director at the German record champions and is now sports director at Paris FC.

Salihamidzic continues to show closeness to FC Bayern

It is quite possible that Salihamidzic and Neppe will also be present at the Prinzenpark on Tuesday evening when Vincent Kompany’s team face PSG. Such appearances around Bayern have become rarer for the Bosnian in the meantime. As AZ reports, the former sports director is no longer regularly seen in the VIP lounge of the Allianz Arena.

This has apparently not changed his emotional attachment to the club. Under his Paris photo, Salihamidzic wrote: „Mia san Mia forever“. The former Bayern boss thus sent a clear signal of support for his former club ahead of the semi-final.

After his release in the summer of 2023, the relationship with the Munich management had returned to normal. Salihamidzic met with honorary president Uli Hoeneß, among others, for a discussion at Lake Tegernsee. The two are now even said to occasionally play Schafkopf together.

Salihamidzic is also not ruling out a return to professional soccer. A few weeks ago, he told AZ: „I will certainly do something else in professional soccer again at some point.“ The long-serving Bayern official left it open as to when this will happen.
