The Versailles public prosecutor has filed submissions seeking that Aminata Diallo stand trial over the 2021 assault on Kheira Hamraoui, according to L'Équipe.

The former PSG midfielder is targeted for complicity in intentional violence committed by a group, with a weapon and premeditation, and for criminal conspiracy. She is suspected of having ordered the attack on her former team-mate at PSG and with France.

A trial is also sought for the alleged perpetrators of the attack, for intentional violence and criminal conspiracy. They were arrested months after the incident and placed in pre-trial detention.

At this stage, no trial is requested for organised extortion against César Mavacala, who was indicted on that count in March 2023 and against whom an arrest warrant had been issued. Against him, only alleged illegal exercise of the profession of agent has been retained.

An investigating judge will now decide whether to commit the case to trial or issue a dismissal. Diallo’s lawyer, Romain Ruiz, who represents her with Mourad Battikh and Chloé Redon, described the requisitions as a smokescreen and the continuation of investigators’ fixation, and maintained she did not commit the acts, saying the defence will prove it.
