PSG released a sharp response aimed at Kylian Mbappé on Monday after both sides appeared before the labor court.
Locked in a high-stakes legal fight that could run into the hundreds of millions of euros, PSG restated why it refuses to back its former standout and even accused him of damaging the club’s interests.
As the hearings at the Paris Industrial Tribunal wrapped up, the dispute between Mbappé and PSG escalated again, with each side trading pointed remarks in front of the judges.

With no agreement reached, both sides now have to wait for the ruling on December 16. Mbappé is seeking €253 million, while PSG has countered with a claim of €440 million.
“The club would like to remind everyone that it did everything possible, for more than a year, to reach an amicable solution that would allow all parties to move forward, in line with the cooperation and trust that should exist between a club and its player,” PSG said in a statement sent to the media on Monday (h/t RMC Sport).
“Several bodies involved in this dispute even encouraged an amicable settlement, which the club has always pursued in good faith. Despite these repeated efforts, Mr. Mbappé has continually attacked the club whenever he could, including through the action filed today. It is a regrettable situation for the player himself, as well as for French football as a whole.”
After denying any harassment toward Mbappé during his time at PSG between 2017 and 2024, the club has continued to defend its position, citing an alleged tacit agreement with Mbappé regarding unpaid bonuses. While Mbappé’s camp is demanding payment, the reigning European champion maintains that it is within its rights to do so.
“In court, the club presented evidence showing that the player acted in bad faith by concealing, for nearly eleven months between July 2022 and June 2023, his decision not to extend his contract, thus depriving the club of any chance to arrange a transfer,” PSG continued in its statement on the ongoing proceedings.
“The player then challenged an agreement reached with the club in August 2023, which provided for a salary reduction if he decided to leave on a free transfer, in order to protect the club’s financial stability after the exceptional investment made.”
