PSG could be targeting another Barcelona player as they look to build on their recent success and strengthen their position as Europe’s dominant force after capturing the UEFA Champions League and completing a historic treble last season. Another signing from the Catalan side may soon be on the horizon.

The French club has long shown interest in Barcelona talent, a trend that has brought several stars from Spain to Paris over the years.

Recent arrivals Arnau Tenas and Ousmane Dembele continued that pattern, joining a group that already features Neymar Jr., Lionel Messi, and Xavi Simons. Still, one Barcelona player appears unlikely to follow that same route.

According to TBR Football’s Graeme Bailey, Eric Garcia has agreed to a new contract with Barcelona, ending speculation about a potential move. Tottenham and Chelsea had expressed interest in the defender, but have since been told he’s no longer available.

Following their victory over Barcelona on Wednesday, PSG may also try to rival them off the field. Per SPORT, the French club are keeping a close eye on Garcia’s situation.

The 24-year-old center-back’s current deal expires at the end of the season, which means PSG would be free to begin direct talks with him in January. However, SPORT reports that Barcelona coach Hansi Flick remains intent on keeping him. Despite outside interest, Garcia has already decided to stay and sign an extension with the Spanish club.

Nonetheless, the French giants could be looking at another Barcelona player. According to Mundo Deportivo, PSG have set their sights on 18-year-old Juan Hernández, one of FC Barcelona Atlético’s most promising young players.
