Paris Saint Germain confirmed on Saturday double setback with Ousmane Dembele & Desire Doue both sidelined after picking up injuries on international duty with France.

Dembele limped off during France’s World cup qualifier against Ukraine on Friday. PSG revealed the winger suffered serious right hamstring strain and will be out for around 6 week.

Doue adds to PSG’s worries

Midfielder Desire Doue also picked up calf problem in the same match. He's expected to be sidelined for four weeks, with possible return by mid October.

Champions League impact

The injuries mean both stars will miss PSG’s blockbuster clash against Barcelona on 1 October in Champions league group stage.

They'll also be absent from the opener against Atalanta on 17 September.

In Ligue 1, PSG will have to navigate tough fixtures against Lens, Marseille, Auxerre & Lille without the duo. Doue could return in time for the Strasbourg match on 17 October while Dembele's only expected back closer to the Leverkusen tie on 21 Oct.

This latest blow leaves Luis Enrique facing major selection headache as PSG chase glory in europe & defend their domestic crown.
