Fabrizio Romano understands that talks are underway between Paris Saint-Germain and Achraf Hakimi (25) regarding a contract renewal.
Since joining PSG from Inter Milan in 2021 in a deal worth a reported €68m, Hakimi has been a guaranteed starter at right-back. He has made 125 appearances for Les Parisiens, scoring 15 goals and registering 21 assists. This season, he has already scored once and registered two assists in five appearances in all competitions.
As a result, he is considered a key player by Luis Enrique and also by sporting director Luís Campos. It is logical, therefore, that the reigning Ligue 1 champions are looking to secure the Morocco international’s future at the Parc des Princes.
Whilst Hakimi still has two years remaining on his current deal, PSG are already locked in talks over an extension, according to a report from Romano. He is considered one of the key members of the evolving project at PSG.
