Following Lille OSC’s victory over Slavia Prague on Wednesday, four Ligue 1 teams will compete in the new format of the UEFA Champions League this season. They like, France’s other representatives, Paris Saint-Germain, AS Monaco, and Stade Brestois, discovered their opponents for the upcoming ‘League Phase’.

The draw was conducted at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco, where the new ‘League Phase’ was also explained. Each team will face four teams at home and four away, with the dates for the fixtures not yet revealed. Unlike in previous editions of UEFA’s flagship club competition, each fixture will not be played home and away and so each side will play eight different teams.
