PSG’s 2-0 win over Liverpool in the Champions League quarter-final first leg delivered Canal+ its biggest audience of the season.

According to L'Équipe, Wednesday night’s broadcast averaged 2.43 million viewers, a 13.5% share, with a peak of 2.77 million.

Canal+ ranked second for the evening behind the TV film Soeurs et demie on France 2, which drew 3.28 million viewers.

The previous season high on Canal+ dated back to 16 September, when Real Madrid-OM finished 2-1 and averaged 2 million viewers.

The return leg, Liverpool-PSG, will be shown on Canal+Foot on Tuesday 14 April.
