Luis Enrique offers reassurance for PSG

PSG: Luis Enrique tries to dispel doubts ahead of Chelsea
Tomorrow, Luis Enrique and PSG will face Chelsea in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16. Speaking to the press this Tuesday, the Spanish coach aimed to calm concerns.
PSG, currently going through a rough patch with four defeats in 2026 and 18 goals conceded in 15 matches, will meet Chelsea tomorrow. This has sparked doubts about the Parisians' ability to overcome the Blues.
"It’s normal for there to be noise around PSG. There always is," declared Parisian coach Luis Enrique when asked about the current pessimism surrounding Paris. "I’m not worried about the noise around us. If the results are good, there’s exaggeration and optimism. If the results aren’t good, pessimism takes over," added the Spaniard.
For Luis Enrique, motivating his players won’t be an issue for this encounter: "These kinds of matches are easy for motivation. All the players will be fired up tomorrow. We’re going to try to win in this very special stadium, the Parc des Princes. It’s a beautiful place to play. We want to make the most of it. When these matches come around, over-motivation can actually be a problem. We know how to play, but the opponent will try to make us do the opposite. We have experience in these kinds of big games."
