PSG and Barcelona will meet October 1 in the UEFA Champions League league phase, with both clubs carrying momentum from strong starts.
The defending champions made a statement in their opener, dismantling Atalanta 4-0 with two goals in each half, even while missing Désiré Doue and Ousmane Dembele.
Barcelona followed with a hard-fought 2-1 win at Newcastle United, powered by a Marcus Rashford brace. Moreover, both teams among the favorites, this showdown could prove decisive in shaping the league-phase standings.

On Monday, PSG announced that the jerseys worn in Wednesday’s Champions League clash with FC Barcelona will soon be auctioned. All proceeds from the sale will go directly to the Fundación Xana, an organization dedicated to supporting children with serious illnesses and their families.
As for the match itself, RMC Sport reports that Khvicha Kvaratskhelia did not train with PSG on Monday. He’s available for the match against Barcelona, but the club won’t risk starting him.
Furthermore, the outlet reveals that Fabián Ruiz, João Neves, and Vitinha will be included in PSG‘s squad to face Barcelona. On the other side, Barcelona’s Alejandro Balde has returned to full training with the group, according to SPORT’s Carlos Monfort, and appears likely to make the squad for the PSG clash—though he’s expected to start on the bench.
